world of warcraft action figures

Posted by Melvin on Mar 12, 2010 in Stormy Life

Collectors appear in all stripes, those that  genuinely employ a love for which they may be  making collections, those who just love the chase of with the ability to complete a collection, and people who hope their investment will 1 day repay.  One doesn’t must be  one of the  an incredible number of players of Warcraft to collect its toys.  The younger collectors though, or the young at heart, often have a hard time resisting the urge to take  the warcraft action figures of the box.  The slightly older players will , in most cases ,  obtain the  warcraft action figures coming from of He-Man figures sold within the 80’s.

There are four main companies that started manufacturing warcraft figures since Warcraft II.  They are Blizzard Entertainment, Toycom, Amazing (SOTA), and DC Direct (of DC Comics).  Out of these companies, DC Direct has design the largest line of figures, 25 figures including very exclusive miniatures, through 2009.

Blizzard, the organization behind World of Warcraft, or WoW has only released five miniatures.  They’re Human Footman, Orc Grunt, Malfurion Stormrage, Muradin Bronzebeard, and Thrall.

Toycom has produced 6 figures all from Warcraft 3.  SOTA released only three figures that are: Tauren Shaman, Undead Warlock, and Jungle Troll Voodoo Priest.

DC Direct released its first group of warcraft action figures in 2007.  This first series was comprised of Meryl Felstorm: Undead Warrior, Rehgar Earthfury: Orc Shaman, Valeera Sanguinar: Blood Elf Rogue, plus a deluxe figure, Illidan Stormrage: Night Elf Demon Hunter. DC has released five series in the time of the end of 2009.

As Steve Carell’s character, Andy, proved in The 40-Year-Old Virgin, creating a mint toy collection is usually a nice investment.  Those brand new to WoW, but looking for the next “hot” collectible, may want to consider these wow action figures because WoW is really a Guinness World Record holding massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), holding the record for many subscribers, over 11 million.  With a growing number of followers worldwide it’s likely a market will exist later on for anyone collectors who could actually purchase the warcraft action figures now and collect them.  And unlike the He-Man figures these WoW action figures are not currently being mass produced and sold in retail outlets.

Hidden Object Game Review: Undiscovered World: The Incan Sun

Posted by Melvin on Mar 12, 2010 in Stormy Life

What is life if it is not a big adventure? In Undiscovered World: The Incan Sun, our hero has crashed his plane on a not so remote area once inhabited by the Incans. The first thing our hero does is find objects scattered about his plane in true hidden object game style. It is not long before the hero finds there is more to the area than he expected. He is now thrown into a world were he must uncover the secrets of this ancient land.

Objects aren’t always what you would expect to see either. For example: the list said phone. I was not thinking about this being set in an earlier era so I was looking for a typical phone. Finally, after finding everything else on the list, I found the phone. The phone was the type you would see on the Andy Griffith Show. You know the type I am talking about. You grab the earpiece and talk into a mouthpiece still attached to the wall. Then you ask an operator to call someone.

The last thing that made the game more difficult was the names. I don’t know about you but it is not often I see the word Anubis. Now, I have watched enough tomb raiding and Egyptian movies to know this will probably be a dog-like statue, but it was still unusual.

Each section has the list of objects to find but there is more. Along with the given list, you must find the two hidden statues. The statues allow you uncover the secret of the undiscovered world.

At the end of a level, there is a mini-puzzle. The puzzle is not difficult at all. Matter of fact, the puzzle pieces are lined on the board. So putting the puzzle together doesn’t provide much of a challenge.

The game has a timer that counts up, not down, like most hidden object games. For maximum points, click accurately, click fast, and click multiple items in a row. This is the only way you will be considered an expert at a level. It will take practice because matching the names to the items is not as easy as it sounds. Clicking too many wrong items will not only destroy your accuracy but will also get you a time penalty.

Undiscoverd World: The Incan Sun can be found at MarcoPoloGames. There you can try games out before you buy them.

Do You Love Mac But Need to Run Software on Windows? Here’s the Solution

Posted by Melvin on Mar 12, 2010 in Stormy Life

If you’re fond of the beauty and simplicity from the Mac os but likely will use Windows forever because of the type of software you have then you may find that you have no options. Fortunately there are several possibilities to help you to still obtain the Mac you desire.

I’ve a 24″ Imac and absolutely love it. I began as an Apple customer but needed to change to Windows when all of the work software I used only ran on Windows. Due to the newest OS10 that operates on a Linux platform you can run windows on a mac in a variety of ways.

My personal choice is VMWare Fusion which gives you a virtual environment in which to operate any os, not simply windows. Programs called Parallels and VirtualBox do the same. I recently preferred the interface of VMWare’s product.

You can also use bootcamp which lets you reboot your personal machine directly into windows or Mac, take your pick. However, applying this method you can’t run both of them at the same time. Using the virtual method above you’ll be able to run them simultaneously as well as drag and drop files from one OS on the other. How sweet is that?

I use the mac side of my machine for whenever possible. The windows side is reserved for 3rd party programs that aren’t mainstream (online marketing type) and Quicken, that is the world’s best money management software for use at home. Basically didn’t need those programs so much I wouldn’t run windows in any way. Mac is definitely far superior is all respects.

Kristen loves the mac environment. She doesn’t like Windows very much. She also enjoys currently talking about vinyl gazebos and bookcase portable divider and delta faucets.
